Abby’s Golden Hour LAKE MICHIGAN SENIOR SESSION + her fall mini session
Abby’s July summer senior session was my first Class of 2024 senior for the year and her fall mini session was my last of the year. It was SO fun to start and end my year with Abby because her and her family are so kind and welcoming.
For Abby’s summer session, Abby, her mom, and I met up at a beautiful field near the lakeshore. We chatted a little bit, shared some laughs, and then jumped into her session! We started off on a dirt road with trees hovering overhead, creating a beautiful scene. We moved over into the most golden field and the sun was shining so beautifully!! We finished up the first portion of her session at a taller golden field and pretty grass path that was surrounded by tiny purple flowers! I love how many different field areas are at this location, you can never have enough fields in my book!! I love how much freedom there is with fields.
After Abby’s field photos, we drove a short ways to Lake Michigan, which really showed off for us! We had SUCH an incredible golden hour and sunset, we were in awe. Right when we got to the beach the sun was shining through the clouds perfectly and slowly got more and more colorful. We ended up having a sunset of a mixture of pinks and oranges and we were sooo excited!
Abby’s session also included a fall mini session and I’m so glad we got to see each other again after the fun beach day we had! We met up on a chilly late October fall morning and again, got so lucky with how colorful the leaves were! Abby chose the perfect outfit to really stand out from the beautiful background and we moved between rows of pine trees, old stone work, and golden fields.
I love that Abby’s session has such a great variety of everything that Michigan has to offer- fields, wildflowers, the beach, lighthouses, gorgeous sunsets, huge trees, and beautiful fall foliage. She truly got the best of alllllll worlds and I’m so thankful I got to hangout with her and her kind family! It was such a lovely way to start and end my year!
