Alexandria’s sunflower + Lake Michigan beach senior pictures
Alexandria (Xana), is SUCH a gem!! She traveled all of the way from Colorado for her senior pictures, so I wanted to make sure they were perfect for her! She hopped on a plane right after school got out on a Friday, we did her senior pictures on Saturday, and then she was back home for school on Monday! How cool is that?! It’s always such an honor when seniors travel to get their photos done, no matter how far the distance. Xana used to spend her summers in Michigan so she really wanted to incorporate that into her senior pictures and have photos that were unique!
Xana knew that she wanted flowers for her late September senior session, so we found her a plethora of flowers!! It can be hard to find a lot of flowers in late September sometimes, especially depending on the weather of the year. There’s dahlia fields still in bloom, but those weren’t the flowers Xana envisioned for her session. I was able to find the most perfect sunflower field for her senior pictures and we made all of her flower dreams come true! There were cosmos and pumpkins too, which added an extra element! Our first location was absolutely perfect for her and her dresses/casual outfit were so stunning. I love her dresses, cowboy boots, and cowboy hat with all of the different flowers, and I love how fun the photos of her with the pumpkins are!
You can’t travel to Michigan without going to the beach, especially since Xana loves the water, so we headed to Lake Michigan next! Lake Michigan really wanted to show off for Xana so we were blessed with one of the most colorful sunsets!! All of the colors were so beautiful and it was so fun to run around on the beach together. We got in the water at the end of her session and I love how those photos came out! Her beach senior pictures are full of joy and they’re so special.
I’m so thankful that Xana trusted me for her senior pictures and traveled across the country for them! She is such a light and we had so much fun together on our beautiful September day. Her sunflower and beach senior pictures are some of my favorites!
